Working Through Family Crisis and Disruption
Every family tries hard and hopes that it does not have critical or crisis times. Our experience has shown us that, in fact, every family, adopted and non adoptive have crisis times. Though they are uncomfortable, sometimes scary moments, they also present an opportunity for families to work through unfinished business. They are opportunities for growth and change.
OnTrack Adoption Associates can offer help during these times. We can arrange for a one time (or more frequent) consult (or "intervention") to help you make sense of the disruption, breakdown or crisis. By looking and listening to the material presented by family members we can interpret, recommend and encourage useful strategies to make the crisis worthwhile and productive.
Though no one wants to think of crisis time when planning an adoption, it is reassuring for many of our clients to know that there is knowledgeable and caring support available if needed.
