OnTrack Adoption Associates provides clinical services to support you and your family through all phases of the adoption journey. We help you evaluate the best options for your future adoption, provide support and consults for parents facing behavioral or developmental challenges with their adopted children, help families experiencing disruptions, and explore ways with families to address cultural and family integration issues. We do this in person, via telephone and via video conferencing.
We understand that the journey through adoption does not end after the adoption is complete. Families, even five or ten years after an adoption, may have a multitude of questions or face unique challenges at each stage of a child's development. We use our experience and clinical training to help you understand the complex psychological processes that affect individuals with in your family and help you address them in knowledgeable and compassionate ways.
We work with all types of families, including non traditional families (gay, lesbian and single parents) and families beyond North America. Our staff is able to offer services in both English and Spanish and we maintain offices in Boston and Washington D.C. Some families use our services regularly, others simply for sporadic consults when working through challenging times. Our aim is to be flexible and useful to you when and where you need the help most.
On Track Adoption Associates believes that when parents can appreciate the complexities of culture, transition, and developmental processes in a child's life, families will naturally become strong and self supporting systems. Our hope is to provide you with the support and information you need to successfully navigate the variety of challenges that adoptive families may face from a child's infancy, through adolescence and into adulthood.
